Why is science important?

Chris Langley trained as a neurobiologist and now works as a freelance consultant and writer. He operates ScienceSources, an independent consultancy, facilitating access to science, technology and medicine, and thereby creating a more publicly accountable and open science. He is principal researcher for Scientists for Global Responsibility, examining the influence of the military sector - both government and corporate - in UK science, engineering and technology. Its goal is to stimulate and support a more ethically-based science and technology.
